James Lavery, MD

Dr. James Lavery earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and spent eight years in the medical device industry before pursuing medicine. He received his MD from Saba University School of Medicine in 2017 and completed his Family Medicine residency at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, in 2020. Dr. Lavery then spent five years providing care with the Norton Sound Health Corporation in remote western Alaska, serving the communities of the Seward Peninsula. He is happy to return to the Akron/Canton area where he grew up. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time in nature hiking with his wife and playing basketball.
