Following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother, Jen’s path in laboratory medicine began early—spending time after school helping with small tasks that grew in complexity over the years. Summers and school breaks were spent in the lab, where she developed a strong foundation through hands-on experience and mentorship.

Jen earned her Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University in 2001 and went on to obtain her Histotechnologist license. She began her career in a private dermatopathology laboratory before leading the development of the anatomic pathology laboratory at Ahuja Medical Center. There, she wrote policies, trained staff, and designed protocols—contributing to consistently outstanding inspection results during her tenure.
