About Dr. Fuad Muakkassa 

Dr. Fuad Muakkassa completed his undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University, where he majored in natural sciences and French and minored in music, graduating with honors. He received his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University and completed his internal medicine internship at Akron General Medical Center/Cleveland Clinic. He completed his Clinical Trials Research Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (CWRU/UHCMC). Dr. Muakkassa investigated treatments for skin diseases including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, cutaneous lymphoma, and prurigo nodularis. He has solidified his passion for research and epidemiology by pursuing a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Muakkassa trained as a dermatology resident at CWRU/UHCMC, during which he was appointed Chief of Medical Students and Cosmetic Clinic Chief. He received the Psoriasis Research Award upon graduating and is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
