Susan K. Holland MD

About Dr. Holland

Dr. Holland, born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, completed her undergraduate education at Furman University. At Furman, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry, graduated Magna Cum Laude, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. As part of her learning experience, she was also actively engaged in study abroad programs, affiliated with the Christie Hospital in Manchester, England, which focused on the research of new cancer treatment medications.

Dr. Holland then completed her medical school education at the Medical College of Georgia, School of Medicine, where she earned her Medical Degree, and remained there to complete her residency training in Pathology. During her residency training, she served as Chief Resident, was a member of the Faculty Search Committee, and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology.

Following residency training, Dr. Holland moved to New York City, where she completed a dermatopathology fellowship at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology. Here, she was given the invaluable opportunity to learn from mentors that are well-known experts in the fields of both Dermatology and Pathology. Upon successful completion of her fellowship training, she became Board-Certified in the subspecialty of dermatopathology.

Dr. Holland is proud to be a part of the team at Apex Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center, as a Dermatopathologist. She is strongly dedicated, not only to providing the Practitioners with accurate and timely histopathologic diagnoses, but also in playing an integral role in personalized patient care, in conjunction with her colleagues. She always welcomes the opportunity to put her knowledge to practice, in order to help maintain the highest standard of care for every patient.
